It is the smallest Blackberry with a full QWERTY keyboard; it is both a pleasure to hold and use, whilst maintaining many of the features one would expect to find in a Blackberry. The QWERTY keyboard is perhaps easier to use than the 8800 because there is spacing between each key. The 8300 also features the Trackball navigation system that is fast becoming standard on Blackberry handsets, as well as the 65K colour, high resolutions screen, (320 x 240 pixels) that automatically adjusts itself to the exterior lighting levels. This Smartphone also comes with an integrated document viewer and BlackBerry Maps™. Unlike the Blackberry 8800, the Curve 8300 comes with a built in 2 megapixel camera, as well as a media player, which will not replace an iPod anytime soon, but it allows the user to listen to music on the go. Also included in the phone is voice activated calling, a speakerphone, and some instant messaging services. However, like other Blackberry handsets, the 8300 does not have either 3G technology or Wi-Fi.
