The V3i is a new and improved version of the immensely successful Motorola V3. In terms of physical appearance the V3i is virtually the same as the V3; it still has the metal alloy case, the chemically etched keypad and the same 262K colour, TFT screen. But on the inside, there have been a number of changes.

One of the most influential changes is to the memory of the phone, the V3 had only 5.5MB of internal memory, which is barely enough to store one song, but the V3i has 12MB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 512MB with a memory card. This is great for storing all your music for the integrated MP3 player,

Another major improvement is the camera. The simple VGA camera in the V3 has been updated to a 1.23 megapixel camera in the V3i. Other features include quad band technology, and Bluetooth.
