BlackBerry 8800
Mobile Phones BlackBerry

Hot on the heels of the Pearl 8100, Blackberry have now introduced the 8800, unlike the Pearl 8100, the 8800 now features a full QWERTY keyboard, but still maintains the trackball navigation system.  The QWERTY keyboard is made even more easy to use by the size of the 8800, measuring 114 x 66 x 14 mm and weighing 134g, the handset fits firmly and snugly into the user’s hand.

The 8800 has a 65K colour, high resolution display, that features technology that means the display adjusts itself to the external lighting levels, so the screen is clearly visible both indoors and outdoors.  Unlike the Pearl 8100, the 8800 does not feature a camera, which can be both a disadvantage but also an advantage considering photo taking in a corporate environment can be a little risky for privacy and legal reasons.  Like many other Blackberry’s the 8800 has the email push system for viewing emails, but this handset does not have Wi-Fi, so to view emails the user will have to connect to the GPRS network.  Another connectivity options in this phone are Bluetooth, USB, and the phone has EDGE technology and Quad band.  However the lack of 3G technology could be seen as a major disadvantage to this Blackberry.
